Concert Series

Koke FM Free Texas Concert Series
Wednesday, July 17 at 6pm
Break out the boots and two-step your way over to Central Texas Speedway for an evening with Curtis Grimes and Folk Family Revival.

NYLON Music Tour Presents: CSS
Thursday, July 18 from 8pm
Nylon Magazine and Olay Fresh Effects have come together to put together some great attractions touring all around the country. Coming to Austin this week at Emo’s include Brazilian rock band, CSS, and American electronic duo, MNDR.

KGSR Presents Unplugged at the Grove
Thursday, July 18 at 8pm
Marking the 20th anniversary of Unplugged at the Grove which offers a multitude of live music until September. $3 Ziegenbock drafts and Frontman of The Gourds, Kev “Shinyribs” Russell at Shady Grove.

Music Under the Star at Bob Bullock Texas State
Friday, July 19 from 6pm to 9pm
Head over to one of Austin’s staple museums, The Bob Bullock, for an evening of music and fun family events. The museum is open and free to the public during the show. This week’s guests include Austin’s Grupo Fantasma and special guest La Guerrilla. Blankets and chairs encouraged, no coolers please.

101x Homegrown Live Presents
Saturday, July 20 doors at 7pm
Austin radio station has been doing their Homegrown Live series for a rather long time and for a really good reason. With so many awesome Austin bands, they’ll never run out of great acts to showcase. While this happens more than for just a few months out of the year, we thought this week’s event is especially awesome! Join Wild Child, Marmalakes, Holiday Mountain, Danny Malone, and Taft at The Scoot Inn & Bier Garten. 21 and up enjoy great Texas Shiner, including Ruby Redbird, beers for $3.25 a pint.


Beerland’s Infamous Rock and Roll Karaoke
Monday, July 15 from 9pm
Every Monday at Beerland you can sing to your favorite rock hits. Take it back to the 70s with The Sex Pistols to the 1990s with Weezer’s Blue Album or belt out your favorite song you heard last week on the radio, there’s always something to be sung.

The Pink Panther Movie-Themed Scavenger Hunt
Saturday, July 20 at 11:30 am
Want to win a movie party for 49 of your favorite people?? Find your inner sleuth at this Pink Panther scavenger hunt hosted by The Paramount. 1st place wins a reception and tickets to a Summer Classic Film. Your scavenger ticket includes a ticket to the 2 o’clock showing of the movie.


Here Comes the Sun!

Get out for the night and attend a night of burlesque, drag, and community. This benefit show, hosted by Spiderhouse, is a charity event benefitting Claudia Binder’s Recovery Fund. Come see what it’s all about!

Family Fun

Apple Camp for Kids
Monday, July 15 at 9:00 am
These three day camps allow children ages 8-12 to shoot their own video footage, compose an original song on GarageBand, and put everything together using iMovie. This free workshop can be found at select Apple Retail Stores and ends with campers showcasing their work at Apple Camp Film Festival. Enroll your young ones now!

Free Admission to UMLAUF
Monday, July 15 from 8am
The property was a gift from Charles and Angie Umlauf to the City of Austin, along with over 160 pieces from the artist. Charles wanted to make this “the people’s garden” and it has become just that. Thanks to generous donations that garden is Free to the public during June and throughout August.
