Highlighted Events: June 3rd to June 9th

Hope you got to come out to our secret masquerade and have as much fun, if not more fun, than we did! Thanks to everyone who came out, and if you missed it, hopefully you can make it to the next HPN event! This week we’re bringing the best in music, charity events, and places to get great drinks. So get off your couch and make it miss you.

The music scene in Austin has always been great, but it continues to get bigger and better with every concert. If you’re lucky enough to have purchased tickets to some of this week’s Sold Out shows, we’re jealous! If you still want to get your concert kick we’ve got some options for you too!

SOLD OUT: Of Monsters and Men
Monday, June 03 from 6:30pm
Do we need to have one of our “Little Talks”? We didn’t think so. This will definitely be a great show. If you don’t have tickets and don’t know what we’re talking about, please go check out their music. They might hail from Iceland, but their indie folk/pop sounds are for anyone and everyone!

The Technicolors with The Villas
Wednesday, June 05 from 8:00 pm
If you’re looking for some rock, check out The Technicolors. This Arizona band blends rock-n-roll with British swagger. Catch a “Sweet Time” with these guys for a mid-week outing.

CHVRCHES
Wednesday, June 05 from 7:00pm
Pronounced “churches,” this Scottish eclectro-pop group is something else. You can find this show at Mohawk. Listen to their newest Youtube release!

SOLD OUT: The Neighbourhood with The 1975
Saturday, June 08 from 8:00 pm
This alternative band was just in Austin in April as the opener for Atlas Genius. They couldn’t stay away and made Antone’s in Austin one of their first stops on their tour with The 1975. Some recommendations for songs include, “Sweater Weather” and The 1975’s “Chocolate”.

If music isn’t what you’re looking for, check out these picks for charity events and breweries!

Tyler’s Dam that Cancer
Monday, June 03 from 5:00pm
The Flatwater Foundation, a non-profit that provides access to mental health services for those affected by cancer, is joining with Hula Hut on Lake Austin for their fourth annual Dam that Cancer fundraiser. Help the cause!
