Celebrate Mother’s day at Gusto with an Italian Feast Buffet Brunch

This Mother’s Day feast hosts an amazing spread.  From imported cheeses and cured meats to antipasti and seasonal salads, fresh fruit, pastries, and pasta, there is something for everyone. Included is coffee, juice, and your first brunch cocktail! It’s only $18.75 for adults and $10.75 for kids 12 and under, on of the most reasonably priced brunches seen around town. Mommie Dearest Afternoon Tea
Sunday, May 12th from 4pm – 6:30pm
Come to Alamo Drafthouse at Lake Creek this Sunday afternoon for a special treat with your favorite mother. While enjoying premium organic tea provided by Austin’s Zhi Tea. You won’t only be sipping tea, but enjoying the heartwarming early ‘90s classic, Little Women, featuring Trini Alvarado, Claire Danes, Kirsten Dunst, Winona Ryder, and of course, Susan Sarandon.

Mother’s Day Concert on the Capitol Steps
Sunday, May 12th from 7pm
Wind down Mother’s Day with The Austin Symphonic Band with a free concert at the Texas State Capitol. This hour long concert of well-known marches and musical numbers will keep you humming all night. Get there early to secure a good spot. Bring lawn chairs or a blanket so you have a place to sit.

Storytime at Austin Children’s Museum

While this event happens throughout the week and during the weekends, it is a great kid-oriented place that might just give mom a little more relaxation than planned. Storytime allows children to develop literacy skills that are important for the learning process. Let the little one’s explore and learn while you sit back and watch.

Mother’s Day Brunch at The Spa
Sunday, May 12th from 10am to 2:30pm
What could be more relaxing than a massage for your deserving mother? Located at The Four Seasons Downtown. This package includes an all inclusive brunch of traditional breakfast items, with a carving station, seafood, and dessert bar. This is a Mother’s Day package she’ll never forget. Did we mention the bottomless mimosas and champagne!?

Mother’s Day Comedy and Poetry Show at The Mansion
Sunday, May 12th from 6pm
Treat your mom to food, drinks, and entertainment. Hosted by Aaron Spivey-Sorrells, this live poetry reading and comedy show is sure to make you and your mother tickled pink. Doors at 5pm. Special guest appearances by “Special K” and Romo AKA “White Chocolate” from HBO’s Def Comedy Jam and BET’s Comic View.

Celebrate your mother! In.gredients is hosting a mother’s day iced tea social, sponsored by Zhi Tea. Enjoy the outdoors and some free iced tea. There will be treats for sale from local bakeries.


Mueller Farmers’ Market at The Historic Browning Hangar
Sunday, May 12th from 10am to 2pm
Interested in doing something super non-traditional? Come out to the Austin’s mixed-use Mueller village as hosts their weekly farmer’s market. Situated next to the lake, these Texas vendors sell an array of foods, drinks, baked goods, and jewelry.
