Highlighted Events: April 22nd – 28th

If you’re looking for an adventure you’ve come to the right place!
Here are our top picks and suggestions for you.

Best Food Specials/Happy Hours of the Week:
$1 Oyster Tuesdays
Every Tuesday, Foreign & Domestic has $1 Oysters (and $2 Cans of Beer!). We’d also like to welcome Jodi Elliott back to Austin after winning The People’s Best New Pastry Chef. Can’t make it on Tuesday? Check out their dinner and drink menus!

Imperia Reverse Happy Hour
Everyday reverse happy hour takes place from 9pm to closing. Select from a list of sushi and drink specials to make your night even better! Choose from drink specials such as $5 house martinis, $5 large hot sake, and $3 sake bombs. Also check out their All Day Happy Hour every Sunday and Thursday.

Best Music of The Week:
Atlas Genius with The Neighbourhood at Emo’s East
If you were lucky enough to grab tickets or somehow obtain some to this sold out show, we suggest you end your Thursday at Emo’s. Both Atlas Genius and their opening act, The Neighbourhood gathered a lot of attention at SXSW 2013. No “Sweater Weather” that night, it’s going to be beautiful.

Band of Horses with Roadkill Ghost Choir at Stubb’s Bar-B-Q
On tour to promote and support their fourth album, “Mirage Rock.” This Seattle based rock band is a crowd pleaser with great sound. Another sold out show that makes for a great week for Austin music.

Miscellaneous Adventures:
Austin Poetry Slam
A weekly event held every Tuesday at the 29th Street Ballroom of Spiderhouse. The slam showcases 12 original spoken-word artists in a raucous and energized competition. There’s pride, ego, and $100 in prize money on the line.

Blanton Museum of Art
Every third Thursday of the month the Blanton Museum of Art opens its doors for free. The museum located on The University of Texas at Austin campus is a beautiful museum full of one of the largest and most comprehensive collections of art in Central Texas. The permanent collection holds more than 17,000 works. The rotating exhibit is Through the Eyes of Texas: Masterworks from Alumni Collections which ends May 19th.
