Your Guide to Restaurant Week 2013

Austin Restaurant Week

Austin Restaurant Week (ARW) provides the perfect opportunity to experience new and amazing food from some of the best restaurants in town!

ARW runs April 7-10 & 14-17 this year. Established in 2007 by Taylor Perkins, it has become a well-awaited and attended yearly event since. The two weeks give Austinites and visitors the chance to eat some sample dishes at some of the city’s top restaurants for a pre-fixe price, $12-$17, $27, or $37 depending on the restaurant and type of meal. Part of the proceeds garnered by ARW go toward helping Meal on Wheels and More and their affiliate programs.

If you’re wondering how it works, don’t fret! It’s really simple. Just head to ARW’s website and find the restaurant or experience you’re interested in. After that the site makes it  easy and clear to see how to make a reservation for that particular restaurant. And you’re done. There are three different ways to enjoy Restaurant week by Brunch, Lunch or Dinner.  Maps and information about each restaurant can be found on their free mobile app.

The HPN team is joining in on this year’s fun and has the following recommendations for you:

Dinner Menu at Eleven Plates and Wine

“Crispy tiger shrimps sounds amazing! Doesn’t hurt that Eleven Plates and Wine is known for having some of the best desserts and drinks in town. If you haven’t checked it out yet, definitely drop by. This will be the most elegant dinner you will ever have for $40.”

Dinner Menu at Roaring Fork Stonelake

“The dishes are magnificent! The Market Green Salad is a great balance of sweet, savory, and crunchy. The fish is fresh and light. In the middle of Northwest Austin, this is a great find for anyone who hasn’t tried it before!”

Brunch Menu at 360 Uno Trattoria & Wine Bar

“Located in the Westlake hills area, this small restaurant is a find. 360 Uno evolves the concept of Wine servie, food, and coffee with a refreshing twist that leads to a place where culture, quality, and atmosphere can come together. The brunch menu is a perfect trifecta of Prosecco, an entrée, and a dessert for a steal.”

Dinner Menu at Olivia

“Olivia is a great place to take family, friends, or your date. This fine dining establishment has a fantastic ambiance and even better food. Chef Holmes tirelessly puts in hours to perfect his dishes. Added plus, the wine list is stellar.”
